Pittsburgh's oldest running comedy club, the Funny Bone, has been a mainstay in the Station Square shops district since 1982. For most of its existence, the Funny Bone was a top-tier comedy club on the touring circuit, but recently it has begun to focus more on promoting up-and-coming or local talent.
Show times are 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 9 p.m. on Friday, and 8 and 10:15 p.m. on Saturday. There is a two-beverage minimum and a cover charge that ranges from $5-$15 depending on the act and night.

The world-famous Improv, known by many from its television show \"Evening at the Improv\" on A&E, makes its home in the Homestead area of Pittsburgh along the Monongahela River. Because of its reputation, the Improv gets the top stand-up comedians in the country.
The club offers a dinner menu that includes appetizers, sandwiches, entrees, burgers, salads and desserts. There is a two-item minimum, which can be either drinks or food or a combination of the two.
Guests must be at least 18 years old for admission to shows on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. They must be at least 21 for admission to shows on Friday and Saturday.
Show times are 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 8 and 10 p.m. on Friday, 7 and 9 p.m. on Saturday, and 7 p.m. on Sunday.

For Pittsburgh residents looking for a night of local laughs, the Royal Comedy Club specializes in promoting local talent. Amateurs and first-timers can also try out their own jokes at open-mic nights on Thursdays and Fridays. The club has a full-service bar and serves bar food for every show.
