Comedy Clubs in South Carolina

Everyone can use a night of laughs from time to time, some of us more than others. Whether you are on a date, celebrating a bachelor or bachelorette party or just need to be cheered up, live comedy can do it. South Carolina has a variety of comedy clubs throughout the state. Each club offers a range of acts so whether you are looking for clean comedy or blue, you can find a venue that caters to your taste. And for those interested in trying out their stand-up routine, some clubs offer an open mic night.

  1. Hilton Head Comedy Club

    • The Hilton Head Comedy Club provides shows Tuesday through Sunday, with two shows on Saturday and one the rest of the week. Opened in 2008 by owners who spent time in the Florida and Las Vegas comedy scenes, their knowledge of the business help them attract top acts. Patrons of the club must be at least 18 years old. The club offers a menu of appetizers, desserts and beverages. Unlike many comedy clubs, there is never a drink minimum at the Hilton Head Comedy Club. Tuesdays are Ladies Night so women get in for a reduced fee.

    Comedy House Theater

    • Comedy House Theater has been providing top-notch quality acts since 1993. It provides a variety of acts including stand-up comedians, magicians and ventriloquists. It has shows every night of the week. The club offers an extensive menu of food, which features everything from appetizers of chicken wings and fried mushrooms to entrees of steak and shrimp. The website contains discounts for shows so consider checking it out before you order tickets. If you're interested in up and coming comedians or would like to try your hand at stand-up, check out its Open Mic night.

    Comedy Cabana

    • Comedy Cabana is located in Myrtle Beach. It provides comedic acts to patrons 18 and older, or 16 and older with a parent. Shows run Tuesday through Saturday, although the club offers additional shows June through August and throughout the holiday season. Reservations are recommended to ensure you get to see the show of your choice. Plus seating arrangements are made at the time of reservations so the earlier you call and reserve your seat, the better your view will be. The club requires a two item minimum, but this can be a combination of food and beverages.
