Comedy Clubs in North Hollywood

In Los Angeles, those looking for laughs don't have to limit their search to Hollywood and Downtown comedy clubs. Only seven miles north of Hollywood, the NoHo Arts District of North Hollywood is home to a wide range of arts and entertainment. Along with theaters, art galleries and music venues, comedy clubs in North Hollywood feature live entertainment every night of the week.
  1. HaHa Comedy Club

    • Established in 1988, the HaHa Comedy Club features acts from both veteran comics and up-and-coming talent. This club offers two shows every night. On Fridays and Saturdays, both shows feature headlining acts. For Sunday through Thursday, the showtimes vary and the earlier show is usually an open mike.

      The HaHa Comedy Club also features a full bar and restaurant; the dinner menu offers selections such as fajitas and nachos. This is an 18-and-over club with a two-item minimum. The dress code prohibits shorts and tank tops.

    The Jon Lovitz Comedy Club

    • Located in Universal City's Citywalk, the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club features live comedy Tuesdays through Sundays. There are three shows on Saturday nights, starting at 6 p.m. The number of shows and their start times vary on all other nights. Most Wednesdays, club-goers can catch a performance from Jon Lovitz himself.

      With three bars, three floors, and an extensive menu, this tropical-themed club recommends purchasing tickets in advance. The club is 18 to enter and 21 to drink, and there is a two-item minimum. Tickets can be purchased online or through the box office, which opens at 1 p.m.

    Saddle Ranch Chop House

    • The Saddle Ranch Chop House is a western-themed restaurant and bar, where guests can dine on traditional American fare and test their rodeo skills on a mechanical bull. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., the Saddle Ranch serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is paid onsite parking.

      On Monday nights, the Saddle Ranch Chop House hosts live comedy from 10 p.m. to midnight. The show is free and features comics from HBO, Comedy Central, MTV, The David Letterman Show and more. Reservations are not accepted for the show. After 10 p.m., entry to the Saddle Ranch is restricted to those 21 and over.

    Flapper's Comedy Club

    • Only five miles east of North Hollywood, Flapper's Comedy Club in Burbank features live comedy Wednesday through Sunday. With two stages and an outdoor patio, Flapper's Comedy Club presents an average of four shows a night. The Main Showroom seats 225, and has shows at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Sundays. The Yoo Hoo Room seats 50. Flapper's hosts a family show every Saturday at 11:30 a.m.

      Flapper's Comedy Club also features a full bar and restaurant. Along with Flapper's full dinner menu, specialty wood-fired pizzas are available from 6 p.m. to midnight. In addition to the price of the ticket, there is a two-drink minimum.
