  1. Telluride Bluegrass Festival

    • Planet Bluegrass has hosted the Telluride Bluegrass Festival every year since 1974. Recent lineups have included Bela Fleck, the Dixie Chicks, the Punch Brothers and the Carolina Chocolate Drops. In recent years, the festival has been held over several days in mid-June.

    Mile High Music Festival

    • The Mile High Music Festival made its debut in 2008 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado, about nine miles northeast of Denver. The festival is typically held in the summer, in either July or August, for two or three days. Recent performers have included John Mayer, the Dave Matthews Band, Tool, Widespread Panic and the Fray.

    Rocky Mountain Folks Festival

    • Bluegrass Planet has held the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival every year in August since 1990 in Lyons, Colorado. The three-day festival features bluegrass, folk and alternative music. Recent lineups have included famous folk singer-songwriters such as Ani DiFranco, Gillian Welch and John Prine. The festival also features a juried Folks Songwriter Showcase, featuring talented emerging musicians.

    MusicFest

    • Dickinson Productions hosts the annual MusicFest in Steamboat, Colorado. This January festival, held at a ski resort, offers a winter alternative to the typical summer music festival. Visitors can enjoy both skiing and music. The six-day festival features Texan and Americana music, and recent lineups have included Lee Ann Womack, Jack Ingram and Charlie Robison.

    Aspen Music Festival and School

    • The Aspen Music Festival and School was founded in 1949, and continues to present world-renowned classical music events over a period of two months every summer. Students can attend the program in the summer and take classes, perform with orchestras and ensembles and attend master classes with visiting musicians and performers. Visitors to Aspen can purchase tickets for individual events and concerts throughout the summer. The festival's lineup consistently includes world-renowned classical performers, ensembles and orchestras such as the Emerson String Quartet.
