Washington State Music Festivals

The entire west coast is known for its laid-back lifestyles. This is perhaps nowhere better demonstrated than in the abundance of music festivals in the region, including those that take place in the state of Washington. While certain festivals in the state, like Bumbershoot, have been taking place annually since the 1970s, smaller, lesser-known festivals are just now starting to surface. This leaves Washington residents with a variety of music festivals to choose from.
  1. Sasquatch! Music Festival

    • The Sasquatch! Music Festival is held every Memorial Day weekend at the Gorge Amphitheater. The festival typically lasts three days and takes place over the course of a Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The venue is located along the Columbia River and above the Columbia River Gorge. The 2010 Sasquatch! Music Festival featured live performances from bands such as My Morning Jacket, Deadmau5, Nada Surf, Massive Attack, Kid Cudi, Public Enemy, Simian Mobile Disco, MGMT, Ween, She & Him and The Mountain Goats. Onsite camping is available for the Sasquatch! Music Festival for an additional fee. There are no RV hookups available, though RVs and travel trailers are permissible at the campground. For patrons who wish to stay off-site, nearby hotels are available.

Blige. Bumbershoot takes place at the Seattle Center, attracting more than 150,000 concert-goers to its annual three-day festival.
