How to Put CD Tracks Into My Music

You can put CD tracks into your "My Music" folder using Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player is a free audio program that comes installed on all Windows-based computers. The process for ripping CD tracks in Windows Media Player is simple and user-friendly. After ripping the CD tracks, Windows Media Player will automatically save the files in your "My Music" folder.

      Click the "Start" button found on the task bar on the bottom left corner of your computer screen.

      Select "Programs" and choose "Windows Media Player" from the "Start" menu.

      Put the CD you would like import tracks from into your computer's disc drawer.

      Click "Rip CD," and the CD's tracks will be ripped and saved in the "My Music" folder on your computer if using Windows XP. If using Windows Vista or later, the CD tracks will be saved in the "Music" folder.
