How to Import Music to Windows

You can import music to Windows using Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player is a free audio software program that comes installed on every Windows computer. Not only is Windows Media Player a powerful tool for importing music, but also for listening to music, organizing music, and burning music to CDs.

      Click the "Start" button, highlight the "Programs" category and select "Windows Media Player."

      Insert an audio CD into your computer that you would like to extract music from.

      Click the "Rip Settings" button if you would like to change the format in which your CD is imported. Choose from a variety of audio formats including WMA, WAV, MP3 and more.

      Click the "Rip CD" button and the music will be imported into Windows.

      Repeat this process to import additional music into Windows.
