Comedy Clubs in Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City is the largest city in and capital of the state of Oklahoma. With about 1.2 million people in the metropolitan area (the 31st largest population in the U.S.) Oklahoma City has many things to do, including tourist attractions, professional sports teams, and shopping. A recreational activity that many don't consider when planning their evenings is attending a comedy club show. Oklahoma City's three comedy clubs offer continuous laughs, drink specials and an enjoyable night life activity.

  1. Loony Bin Comedy Club

    • The Loony Bin Comedy Club in Oklahoma City is the self-proclaimed comedy hub in the city. Since October 2002, the Loony Bin has brought in nationally and internationally acclaimed comedians seen on HBO, Showtime, Comedy Central, TNN, MTV and VH1, among others. The booking agents at the club have built relationships with some of the best talent agencies in New York and Los Angeles, putting the Loony Bin at the forefront of discovering up and coming comedic talent, according to the website. The club is open Wednesday and Thursday for a show at 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday for shows at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., and Sunday for a show at 9 p.m. The Loony Bin serves up classic bar food--from burgers to sandwiches to snacks and popcorn--and an assortment of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Joker's Comedy Club

    • Joker's Comedy Club in Oklahoma City hosts a variety of stand-up comedians, improvisation shows, hypnotists, musicians and magicians. The club is located in the heart of the city, Bricktown, and offers laughs seven days a week with two shows on Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is $5 Monday through Thursday and Saturday, $8 on Friday, and $10 on Sunday, the day when the big shows take place. You must be 21 or older to enter. American finger foods, like potato skins, chips and salsa and queso are available for purchase, as well as local and national beers to wash the food down.

    Stooges Comedy Club

    • Stooges Comedy Club and Piano Bar offers Oklahoma City's Bricktown visitors premier comedy, music and variety shows several nights per week. Located in the nightlife hub of OKC, Stooges brings nationally acclaimed comedians to its stage while supporting up-and-coming comedians, and discovering some of the newest and hottest talent in the business. The club suggests making reservations and purchasing tickets for shows early to make sure you get in, as the club often sells out.
