Fifty miles north of Stockton in Sacramento, the Sacramento Comedy Spot is a local destination for stand-up comedy. Founded in 2006 by sketch comedy group Free Hooch Comedy Troupe, the venue hosts a variety of events--from local stand-up cage matches to nationally renowned stand-up performances to weekly improv and sketch comedy shows. Performances run Tuesday through Sunday nights. All ages are admitted to the comedy events, but no food or alcohol is served on the premises. Additionally, the Sacramento Comedy Spot offers stand-up and improv classes.
