American Roots Music Festivals

American roots is a music genre that comprises several styles bred in the United States, either locally or brought by immigrants from Africa and Europe. For this reason, roots music has different origins which can be found in religion and rural and urban areas. Closely linked to oral history and identity, its lyrics reflect American values like freedom or democracy. Several festivals celebrate throughout the year the diversity of American folk, bluegrass, country, cajun and gospel music.
