Atlanta, Georgia Punk Rock Clubs

The punk rock scene is alive and well in Atlanta, Georgia thanks to a long history in the city. Dating back to the early 80s, Atlanta has played host to a luminous cast of punk rock heroes and helped propel the careers of local Georgia acts like R.E.M. and the B-52s. Originally it was venues like the now defunct 688 Club and Metroplex that drew punk rock's greatest to Atlanta, but the extinction of these venues hasn't stopped a number of other bars and clubs from opening their doors to the alternative music world.
