    • Underneath the historic Biltmore hotel in Midtown Atlanta lies the Halo Lounge. This club is all about creating atmosphere, from the starry, pixilated walls to the blacklit onyx bar that subtly changes color. When it comes to drinks, the Halo's bar staff is made up of professional mixologists, serving the finest cocktails and spirits. Musically, the Halo describes itself as a trendsetter, offering a regular lineup of artists and DJs, so check the calendar before your visit. Open Monday through Saturday from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m., the Halo has front door valet service and covered parking in the garage. Dress code is business casual/fashionable, and athletic gear is prohibited.

    Opera Nightclub

    • Voted in the top five nightclubs of 2010 by "Nightclub and Bar," the Opera is a modern twist on the traditional theater, featuring 100-foot-high ceilings and private balconies. The Opera caters to a variety of musical styles, from hip-hop (each Thursday) to groove (Fridays) with a regular calendar of DJs and other artists from across the country. The Opera is open Thursday through Saturday from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. with complimentary entry for women on the guest list and discounted entry for men before 11 p.m. Dress code is strictly enforced, with no athletic or baggy clothing, tennis shoes, boots or shorts allowed.     Havana Club

    • Renovated in 2009, the Havana Club boasts a 15,000-square-foot venue, custom-designed lighting and sound systems and exotic cigars. The club is made up of three rooms: Stage is known for its eclectic music list and VIP cabanas and bungalows; Studio for its salsa and merengue; and Gallery for its exhibits and fashion shows. Other facilities include four bars, including one of 360 degrees, plush seating and on-site parking. The dress code includes no white T-shirts, tennis shoes, flip-flops, athletic gear, baggy clothing or baseball hats. Hours are 8:30 p.m. until 3 a.m. on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
