AliveOne is located in Lincoln Park on the north side of Chicago. Guests have a choice of hanging out in one of two rooms, each unique in its own vibe. Inside, burnt-orange walls, complete with photos of rock 'n' roll legends hanging from them, red floors and a cherrywood bar present an inviting, funky atmosphere. Couches flank the corners, and there is ample table and bar space. Sixteen different beers are on tap, including local Chicago microbrews. Rockumentaries play on the TV, DJs spin tunes, bands play live onstage and there's a jukebox offering live recordings of rock tunes.

A short train ride out of the downtown area and into Uptown on Chicago's north side sits a little local's favorite club that caters to "Classic Rock" lovers. Maybe it's the psychedelic murals of Jimi Hendrix and The Who that cover the walls or maybe it's the current-day playlist of songs that cover bands entertain the nightly crowds with, but either way this hidden gem beckons Rock lovers. Indie, Jam, and Reggae bands also perform original sounds. Couches and stools offer great views of the stage, and an elevated seating area in the back is available for privacy. A light cover charge sometimes applies, and the bar is open late on weekends.
