How to Hook Up a Peavey Escort 2000

The Peavey Escort 2000 is an audio mixer often used as a public address system. Users can connect several microphones and other sound devices to the Escort 2000 and output the sound through speakers. In addition, you can connect a recording device to the mixer. To use the Peavey Escort 2000, you need to properly hook up each of the microphones and other audio output devices to the mixer.

      Connect the speakers to the mixer. The left speaker cord is plugged into the "Left Output" jack and the right speaker is plugged into the "Right Output" jack.

      Plug the microphone into the "Mic In" port in "Channel 1." If you have additional microphones, plug them into the "Mic In" ports on any of the remaining channels.

      Connect an external tape or CD player to the mixer by plugging the audio cords into the "Left" and "Right" ports under "Aux In." These ports are located under "Channel 5."

      Record sound from the mixer by plugging the audio wires from a tape or CD recorder into the "Left" and "Right" ports under "Aux Out." These ports are located under "Channel 5."

      Place the power cord in the power jack on the back of the mixer, and plug the opposite end into an electrical outlet.
