Instructions

    • 1

Measure 5 1/2 inches in from each end of the 1-inch by 1-inch by 12-inch section of plywood. Draw a line at each mark to create a 1-inch square cut out in the center.

    • 2

Draw a 1/2-inch line down both sides from each line. Connect the lines at this point to create a section that measures 1-inch by 1-inch wide and 1/2-inch deep.

    • 3

Repeat steps one through three with the second 1-inch by 1-inch by 12-inch section of plywood. Cut out both 1-inch by 1-inch by 1/2-inch sections.

    • 4

Apply wood glue to the cut out area on each section. Press the two sections together by inserting one cut area into the cut area on the second piece of wood. This will create a 1-inch thick plus sign.

    • 5

Apply wood glue to the end of the 3/4-inch dowel and line it up to the center of the plus sign. Drive the 3-inch screw up through the bottom of the plus sign directly into the dowel. Set the stand on a flat surface so the dowel is being fully supported by the structure.

    • 6

Apply rubber cement in a 1-inch thick circle around the top of the dowel.

    • 7

Twist the microphone clip onto the end of the dowel. Allow the rubber cement and wood glue to fully dry before using.
