How to Build Your Own Karaoke CD

Music creation software such as Audacity, Music Creator and Pro Tools enable you to build and create your own karaoke tracks. Songs in audio formats such as WAV and MP3 can be converted to karaoke sing-a-long tracks by using a vocal removal plug-in. VST or DirectX vocal removal plug-ins allow you to erase the lead vocals, which are the loudest vocals on a song, while keeping the backup vocals intact. Once the songs are converted to karaoke files, they can be burned to CD with music applications such as Nero, Windows Media Player and iTunes.
