Considered an Atlanta institution, the restaurant used to be a part of Underground Atlanta in the downtown area and later moved to the city's Buckhead district. Embracing a nautical theme, the decor includes a full ship's masthead hovering over the dining area and individual "cabins" for more private socializing and cocktails. Patrons can enjoy a full bar and a menu including specialty fondue, with chocolates and cheeses from around the world.
For 33 years Dante's has been committed to music that creates a romantic, soothing atmosphere. Depending on your taste you can choose between acoustic guitar, jazz trios or vocalists, and, as always, the musicians welcome requests. The restaurant also caters events including weddings, birthdays and business functions, all with a stress on impeccable, friendly service.

Located next to the historic Fox Theater in midtown Atlanta, Churchill Grounds evokes the days of the dark, smoke-filled jazz club. For six nights a week (closed on Mondays) the restaurant offers a different act every night; on Wednesdays Danny Harper leads a jam session that never fails to pack the house. Although the music leans toward the classic sounds of Ellington, Armstrong and others, diners can also enjoy original compositions by music's next generation.
Parking may be a challenge because of the restaurant's central location, but patrons always have the option of taking Atlanta's subway system, with the North Avenue stop less than a block away. The Whisper Room, a smaller annex to the restaurant, is available to rent for private functions.

For a dining and music experience that's literally above the rest, The Sundial Restaurant is perfect, located at the top of the tallest hotel in the western hemisphere, The Peachtree Plaza. The dining area gives customers a panoramic view of the city while they enjoy a full-service brunch, lunch or dinner created by head chef Christian Messier. And the bar actually rotates, allowing patrons to take in the view without leaving their seats.
For two nights a week the Mose Davis Trio provides their own, funk-inspired brand of jazz. Although classically trained, Davis pushes the limits of jazz by using his trademark organ playing that he developed in the 1960s. Even though they continue to expand on the music scene they always call The Sundial home.

Mainstream contemporary jazz is the focus of what has been rated Atlanta's number one jazz spot. The restaurant is known for its lineup of popular local musicians, but don't be surprised if Jaime Foxx drops by to sing for you or Dave Chappelle shows up to provide some laughs. Owner John Scatena also promotes the visual arts by showing a series of paintings of jazz greats (available for sale) and lets customers take the stage on Mondays for "open mic" night.
Cafe 290 prides itself on launching the careers of several musicians and giving diners a complete experience; from the Steak Diane to the wide selection of specialty cigars, it's the place to be.
