Connect your Fantom G to your computer and open the Librarian program. Go to the "File" menu and click "Open" to open a library or "New" to create one. These libraries are used to store groups of information. You can use your computer's storage to catalog your samples and live sets for later recall. For example, if you perform with multiple bands, you could maintain a library of sounds for each band that you can load onto the Fantom G as needed.
Find your desired project's ".svd" file and open it with Librarian. These files are used by the Fantom G to store data, and they can be uploaded to your computer via the USB connection and then brought up by Librarian to organize. Each ".svd" file is an entire library, and takes up the capacity of the Fantom G in its entirety. You can have several libraries stored on your computer, but only one on the keyboard itself. To write the file onto the Fantom G, you have to save the file as an ".svd" and move it across to the unit.
Click "Edit" to open the list of tools on the Librarian software. You can cut, copy and paste files between libraries, insert files in a specified location or replace old files. This system works in a familiar way. When something is copied or cut it goes onto a clipboard, and from there you can move it around as you choose. From the "Edit" menu you can also choose "Exchange" to swap the position of two items, or "Initialize" to revert the selected area to the factory default. These are all accessible through keyboard shortcuts, with the exception of the final option, "Delete," which erases the file from the library. Use these tools to organize your files before exporting your new ".svd" file to your Fantom G.
