Push "Play" on your digital music source or "Play" your turntable record. Turn the "In Level" knob located on the top of the unit until the "Overload LED" light is not illuminated to guarantee that the music will not peak during mixing.

Apply a filter to the song playing by selecting the mix from the mix menu located at the bottom of the pedal. Choose the effect, such as the Flanger, by pushing down on the corresponding button. Adjust the amount of the effect applied to the song by turning the "Mix" knob, located at the upper right corner of the unit, from "Dry" to "Wet," until you achieve the sound you desire.

    • 4

Change the pitch of the song playing using the "Pitch" knob located on the upper left portion of the unit. Turn the "Pitch" knob to the right to make the pitch higher and to the left to lower the pitch.

    • 5

Use the sampler by pressing down on the "Beat" key located in the upper center portion of the unit. Press the "Beat" arrows to the right and left until the LED light is illuminated, selecting the number of bars you want to sample--1, 2, 4, 8 or 16. Press the "Record" button when the part of the sample you want to record begins. The sampler automatically will stop recording after the selected number of bars. Press the "Play" and "Stop" key to control when the sample is played.

Set the beats per minute by switching the BPM counter from automatic to manual. Tap the "BPM-TAP" button on the bottom portion of the unit in rhythm to the music several times. This procedure will synchronize the BPM of the effects to the BPM of the music.

Use the scratch effect by pressing the "Scratch" button located on the lower bottom portion of the unit to activate scratch mode. Turn the data wheel at different speeds during the part of the song during which you want to simulate the scratch to produce a sound effect like a record needle scratching.
