Bylaws of iTunes Usage

You must aware of copyright laws and regulations before copying, buying or sharing media of any kind. These laws vary from company to company so it is important that you discover the particular laws that apply to the products you are using.
  1. Product Use

    • All iTunes products should be used for personal use; they should not used by anyone other than the registered user or purchaser. It is also illegal to sell any iTunes products, as they are for noncommercial use only.

    Devices

    • You can use products on up to five Apple-authorized devices at one time. This allows you the freedom to use the same products on a number of Apple devices such as your iPod, iPhone and iPad at the same time.

    Burning

    • You can burn the same playlist up to seven times. However, you are not entitled, under the iTunes laws of usage, to burn ringtone or video products in any circumstances. These rules of burning do not apply to iTunes Plus products: these products can be burned, copied or stored as much as you want but this should not exceed what is necessary for personal use.

    Content Rentals

    • Content rentals can be watched on one Apple device at a time. In order to move rentals you must be connected to the service, and they can only be moved between your computer and other compatible devices. If you have rented any content using Apple TV, iPad, iPhone 4 or iPod Touch, it cannot be moved. You have 30 days after downloading a rental to start viewing it. If your rental is a movie then you have 24 hours to finish watching it once you have begun viewing it. In the case of a TV show you have 48 hours to finish viewing it once you have started to watch it.

    Termination

    • Failure to comply with the laws and regulations of Apple may lead to your account being terminated.
