Place two AAA batteries inside the tuner by detaching the back panel and properly inserting the batteries.
Power on the tuner and press the "mode" button until the "calib" button is highlighted. Use the two arrow buttons to choose which base frequency you would like to use for tuning purposes. Musicians typically use the "440" setting when tuning their instruments.
Select the "slow" or "fast" tuning modes in order to determine the length of the time the tuner will measure individual sound frequencies before targeting fluctuations in sound waves. If you plan on using the tuner for faster, virtuosic passages, select the "fast" button.
Plug your amplified instrument into the tuner using one instrument cable and the "input" port on the tuner. After plugging in your instrument, any notes you play will be routed directly into the tuner for metering.
Play your acoustic instrument near the tuner to measure its sound frequencies and determine the intonation of the notes you are producing . The lighted strips on the interface display the note you are currently playing and tuning relative to calibration settings.
