How to Convert Music to a CD

Converting music to a CD is easy with free music software such as iTunes. Simply create a playlist with the music you would like to convert to CD, and the software will use your computer's CD burner to write the desired music onto a recordable CD.

      Open iTunes.

      Import the music you would like to convert to CD into iTunes. To do this, click "File," "Add to Library" and select the music files you would like to import.

      Create a new playlist by selecting "File," "New Playlist" and naming the new playlist that appears in iTunes.

      Click and drag the music that you would like to convert to CD from your iTunes library into the new playlist you created. When finished, click and highlight the playlist.

      Click "Burn Disc" and then confirm this selection by clicking "Burn."

      Insert a blank CD-R into your computer.

      Eject the CD when iTunes has finished writing the music onto the CD.
