Switch the unit on by pressing the "Power" button, which is located directly to the left of the "Input Level" dial. The unit starts up in "Preset Recall" mode, which is used to select the desired effect from the existing list.
Adjust the "Input Level" dial so that the "Signal/Clip" LED lights up red only at peak moments of volume. This is the optimal input level for the Deltafex. Turn the "Output Level" dial to achieve your desired output volume, which is the level of signal the unit relays to your amplifier.
Turn the "Adjust" wheel to choose an effect from the preset configurations that are installed in the Deltafex. Factory presets are represented by numbers without a decimal point beside them. Scroll through the user presets to access the factory presets. Play some notes to determine which preset you want to use or edit.
Press the "Mode" button to either "Edit A" or "Edit B." The "Mode" button is located to the left of the four LEDs to the left of the display screen. Press the "Mode" button until either "Edit A" or "Edit B" has an illuminated LED next to it. This puts the Deltafex into "Edit" mode. The effects are listed on the far right-hand side of the unit; those in the left column are referred to as "Block A," and those in the right column are referred to as "Block B."
Press the "Edit" button to select what you want to edit. The "Edit" button is located to the right of the display screen. Select "Effect" to change the effect that is being applied. Choose "Parameter 1" or "Parameter 2" to edit one of the two listed parameters for the selected effect, which is shown by number on the display screen.
Turn the "Adjust" wheel to alter the value shown in the display screen. The specific value that is shown is dependent on what you have selected from the four LEDs beside the "Edit" button. For example, selecting "Parameter 1" from the "Hall Reverb" effect allows you to adjust the time delay of the reverb with the "Adjust" dial.
Save your changes by pressing the "Store" button, which is located on the right of the "Output Level" dial. The number on the display screen flashes. Use the "Adjust" dial to select the desired location, and then press "Store" again to save the effect in the selected location. Press any other button to exit "Store" mode.
