How to Find Your Cable Provider

Cable television is a service that brings network and corporate viewing channels to your television through an underground cable. Locating your cable provider is useful when first moving to a new home, especially in a town you are unfamiliar with. You may also need to locate a mailing address or telephone number for contacting your cable provider about service and equipment questions. With basic information, like a monthly statement, you can find your cable provider and address the questions and comments you may have.

Instructions

    • 1

Ask your real estate agent who services the area with cable when moving into a new town. The company your agent works for will likely have a list of to-do items when moving, as well as a listing of utility providers.

    • 2

Examine your bank statement for payments that are automatically derived. When you have an automatic payment set up it is easy to go months, even years without needing to contact your provider. In this time you can loose track of important addresses and phone numbers. Luckily, your bank statement will list the name and telephone number for the company that pulls out the automatic payment.

Enter the name of your cable provider into a directory search and find the mailing address and telephone number listed for the company. Likewise, use a reverse directory to enter an address that will provide a telephone number and name information.
