How to Use the Multimedia on Dish ViP722

Use a USB 2.0 cable to transfer photos from a digital camera or compatible USB storage device onto your Dish Network ViP722 DVR hard drive. This makes it possible to create and organize slideshows that will display on your television screen. Watch live TV while sending photos from the USB device to the receiver and go back later to modify and organize the photo libraries.

Connect your compatible USB device to the Dish Network ViP722 receiver with a USB 2.0 cable.

Press the "Menu" button on your Dish Network remote control. Scroll to "Multimedia" on the TV screen and press "Select," or press "4" on the remote keypad. Highlight "Get From Device" and press "Select."

Choose the pictures you wish to transfer to the receiver by highlighting and pressing "Select" on the white box next to each image. Select "Send Photos" to begin the transfer. When the transfer is complete, select "Done." The previous menu displays on the screen.

Select "My Photos." Choose from the available images and then select "Slideshow." Pick "Auto" or "Manual." When you select "Auto," the pictures will automatically advance from one to the next in the slideshow. Select how long each picture will display before moving on to the next picture (up to 60 seconds per photo). When selecting "Manual," the receiver waits for you to press the left or right arrow key to scroll forward or backward through each image. Select "Play" to display the slideshow. Pressing the "Cancel" button will exit back into the system menus.

Edit and delete photos from any slideshow by accessing the "My Photos" menu again. Instead of selecting "Slideshow," select "Edit" or "Delete" from the menu. Choosing "Rename List" will prompt a text entry screen in which you may change the name of the selected image or folder.
