How to Find Your Tent at Bonnaroo

The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival began in 1991. The four-day festival takes place every June on 700 acres of farmland in Manchester, Tennessee. Around 80,000 people attend Bonnaroo each year. Bonnaroo hosts close to 90 musical groups, ranging from indie to alternative to rock to hip hop. Organizers allow festival goers to pitch tents on the festival grounds. Due to the sheer number of fans, it can be difficult to locate your tent when returning from a concert. Take a few precautions to avoid losing track of your campsite.

Instructions

    • 1

Pinpoint your designated campsite on the map you receive as you enter the Bonnaroo festival. Pick out a nearby landmark to use as a guide when returning to your tent.

    • 2

Create a homemade sign to help your tent stand out. Use a piece of poster board to make your sign. Write your name in large letters across the poster board with a marker.

    • 3

Flip the poster board over. Apply a few pieces of folded duct tape to the back of your homemade sign. Attach the sign to the side of your tent.

    • 4

Inflate some brightly-colored balloons. Tie a string to the balloons and tie the end of the string to a pole on your tent.

    • 5

Crack a colored glow stick as daylight begins to fade. Shake the glow stick to activate the chemicals. Place the glow stick inside your tent to illuminate it.
