Choose the movies you want to rent. You can click the “Find a Movie” link on the Redbox Web site at redbox.com to browse or search a list of all available DVDs or use the touch screen at one of the Redbox kiosks to enter your selections. If you want to make sure that your DVD is available, you can even use the website to reserve the movie online and specify the location of the kiosk where you’d like to pick it up.
Pick up your DVDs at your preferred Redbox location. Use the “Find a Redbox” link on the Redbox website to search for kiosks near a specific address. If you reserved your titles online in advance, retrieve them at the kiosk you specified. Follow the prompts on the kiosk touch screen. You will need to swipe your credit card when retrieving your movies, and the kiosk will ask you to enter your zip code and email address. The rental cost, as of 2010, is $1 plus tax per night for each DVD.
Return your DVDs to any Redbox location after you’re done watching them. As long as you return the movies by 9 p.m., you’ll only pay the $1 plus tax per DVD. If you’d like to keep them longer, your credit card will be charged the additional nightly fee. You can return the movies to a different kiosk the one at which you rented them. Follow the prompts on the kiosk touch screen and insert the discs as instructed.
