Soldier Boy Dance Steps

The Soldier Boy dance is often performed to Soulja Boy's "Soulja Boy Tell 'Em," a popular hip-hip song. The dance involves loose movement of the whole body in an easy to follow, repetitious fashion. Think line-dancing with attitude.
  1. The Soulja Boy Bounce

    • The dance begins with a "bounce" of the body. Your arms should be held out away from your sides, loosely bent at the elbows to allow for smooth transition from one dance step to another.

    Fancy Footwork

    • The second part of the dance involves a series of kicks and hops. Start with your right foot. The dance is reversed on the next. From the previously mentioned "bouncing" position, jump and criss-cross your legs with your right foot in front of your left. This should be a quick bounce-cross-bounce back to the starting position. From there, kick up and backward with your right foot and tap it with your left hand. Repeat the criss-cross move, this time with your left foot in front, then step forward and back with your left foot.

    "Superman Dat..."

    • The superman move is exactly what it sounds like. First to your right, jump forward with your arms outstretched. (like superman flying) Repeat the motion to your left.

    Crank That Soulja Boy

    • For the last step, loosely extend your arms forward. While bouncing backward first to the left, then to the right, pretend that you are riding a motorcycle with two throttles. Roll your wrists backward and forward in quick succession in time with the music. Repeat this move twice in each direction, and start over from the beginning.
