Steps to the Watermelon Crawl

The "Watermelon Crawl" is both a song and a dance. The song was written by Zack Turner and Buddy Brock and recorded by country music singer Tracy Byrd. The song appeared on Byrd's 1994 album "No Ordinary Man." The theme of the song revolves around a fictitious watermelon festival held in Georgia where a wine made from watermelons is served to festival goers. In the song, the narrator implores attendees to not drive after drinking the wine and instead encourages them to partake in a dance called the "Watermelon Crawl." The dance can be done with a partner or in a line with several others.
