Go to a wedding, birthday party or any other family celebration and chances are someone is going to get up to dance. The macarena has been a popular line dance since it first gained popularity in the 1990s. Its contagious beat and reliance on effortless arm movements make it a dance you can do even if you have two left feet. When doing the macarena, you will make a move on each beat of the song. Put your right hand on your right hip, follow with your left hand on your left hip.

    • 7

Swing your hips to the left in a circle during the song's chorus. Clap your hands, then hop a quarter turn to your left. Repeat the sequence from step 1.
