The town of Sherman, Texas hosts an annual art show in a festival atmosphere. As of 2010, Celebrate ART is in its 28th year and boasts a juried show of art that also has pieces for sale, courtesy of the Sherman Art League. The festival also features festival foods, games, prizes and other activities, including live music, a 5k run, museum tours and kid's activities. There are more than 100 arts and crafts vendors, according to the festival website.

Put on each year by the Fine Arts League of Coleman County, the Fiesta Juried Art Show is a juried competition open to artists of all abilities. In fact, the only prerequisite to enter the show is to be 18 years or older using work no older than three years. According to the show website, media accepted into the competition include art made with oil, watercolor, pastels, acrylic and pastels. Best of Show in this competition nets $1,000, as of August 2010.

This large art show is held in downtown Houston every fall. As of August 2010, it is in its 39th year and has raised more than $2 million for various local charities, according to the festival website. The show uses Houston's dramatic skyline as a backdrop and courts artists of all media, from eclectic sculpture to various mixed-media work. This festival hosted 300 artists in 2009, covering 19 different formats, according to the Bayou City Art Festival site, and saw more than 31,000 people in attendance.
