Minneapolis, Minnesota, has a long comedic tradition and history. It has been the home and starting point for many famous humorists and comedians, including Al Franken and Dr. Demento. Several excellent comedy clubs play host to national headliners on tour and emerging local talent.

    • Acme is a comedy chain that has five comedy clubs across the country, including a location in Minneapolis. There are shows six nights a week, with a national headliner performing from Tuesday to Saturday and open mic night on Monday.     The Brave New Workshop

    • The Brave New Workshop is a comedy and improv space open three or four nights each week, featuring several improv troupes a night.
