Comedy Clubs in Omaha

Omaha is the largest city in Nebraska with an estimated population of 438,646 in 2008. There are not many options for comedy nights out in Omaha and you cannot see comedians every night of the week. Omaha has only two full-time major comedy clubs, The Omaha Funny Bone and Jokers Comedy Club, but other smaller nights and events have been set up.
  1. Omaha Funny Bone

    • The Omaha Funny Bone at 17305 Davenport St, Suite 201, Omaha, NE 68118 is open from Thursday until Sunday. The Omaha Funny Bone has a regular calendar of comedians as well as a restaurant offering pre-show and post-show food. In summer 2010, the Omaha Funny Bone calendar included the likes of Sheryl Underwood, Kevin Hart, and Bryan Callen.

    Jokers Comedy Club

    • The Jokers comedy club, formerly Buffoons, located at 1314 Jones Street, is an all-night comedy club. Jokers Comedy Club is open from Wednesday through Sunday, offering live stand up or hypnotists every night. Jokers Comedy Club has shown comedians who have appeared on Comedy Central, HBO, BET, and Last Comic Standing. Jokers Comedy Club also has capabilities to host parties.

Shoot Your Mouth Off at The Hideout

    • Described as "The Best Free Show In Omaha" by a local weekly, Shoot Your Mouth Off is an event held each Tuesday at The Hideout Lounge on 322 S 72nd Street. Shoot Your Mouth Off features spoken word artists, musicians, performers, and a host of comedians. Shoot Your Mouth Off is open from 9 p.m. until midnight.

    Omaha Civic Auditorium Music Hall

    • The Omaha Civic Auditorium Music Hall hosts comedy nights at different times, as well as playing touring Broadway-style shows. The Omaha Civic Auditorium Music Hall can host nearly 2500 people and is the largest event space for comedy. Due to the mixture of events hosted it is necessary to view the calendar of events in advance to find a comedy event.
