There are two Laugh Shops in Edmonton, both of which are part of a comedy club chain that has venues throughout western Canada. Featured performers have included Jock Alston, Mik Dambra, Mathew Murray and others. The Laugh Shop also arranges fund raisers, amateur nights and comedy classes.

Yuk Yuk’s is part of a comedy club chain with venues throughout Canada. The chain was founded by Mark Breslin in 1976, starting out with just a few comedians in a basement hall on Wednesdays and expanding from there. Comedians such as Jim Carry, Rick Moranis and Russel Peters have performed at Yuk Yuk’s. In addition to comedy shows, the club offers dinner theater and arranges birthday, office, bachelor and bachelorette parties, as well as fund raisers.

The Comic Strip is a fully licensed bar and restaurant. Featured performers have included Rob Schneider, Todd Allen, Paul Mercurio, Brad Garret of “Everybody Loves Raymond” and many others. The club has “Hit or Miss Mondays” amateur nights and features comedy hypnotism, magic and music on Tuesdays.
