    • If you're going to see comedy in New York, Comic Strip Live is a good start. According to the venue's website, it has launched the careers of more major stars than any other comedy venue. Big names such as Eddie Murphy, Adam Sandler and Sarah Silverman all got started on the Comic Strip Live stage. Because weekend shows frequently sell out, reservations are recommended. There is a cover charge and a two drink minimum per person.

    Laugh Lounge NYC

    • Laugh Lounge provides an intimate setting where comedians and audience members can really connect.     Gotham Comedy Club
