Teen Acting Camps in Ontario, Canada

Teen acting camps give teens an opportunity to make friends, learn important life skills and develop character. Many of these types of camps are found all across Ontario, Canada. Finding the right camp may seem difficult but it doesn't have to be. Researhing the various camps available can help make your decision a little easier.
  1. Shakespeare Zone

    • The Shakespeare Zone is located in Toronto and has been working with teens since 2001. Students attend a two-week camp where they explore, rehearse and stage a full production. Roles are available for every student. Teens learn about acting, dance, improv and Shakespeare, and participate in daily rehearsal for their production. Camps usually are held during the month of July.

    Act One School of Drama

    • The summer theater camp at Act One School of Drama was started to offer personal development and fun to the summers of area children. Sessions run Monday to Friday at the Greenwood Community Centre in Greenwood. This two-week camp includes activities and games that focus on drama as well as other aspects of theater. Campers learn about the history of theater, performing in front of an audience, story telling and other aspects of acting. At the end of camp there is a performance staged by the campers for friends and family.

    Resurgence Theatre Company

    • The Senior Youth Theater Conservatory in Newmarket, Ontario is open to students in the 9th to 12th grade who want to learn from professionals about performing on stage. Campers will attend Monday to Friday for six weeks and perform at the Country Day School Performing Arts Centre at the end of their training. Subjects taught to teens include the understanding and appreciation of theater arts, theater productions, acting, creativity and hands on experience.

    Drama Way

    • Drama Way offers MultiArts Enrichment Camps at three locations in Toronto. These camps are designed to help teens gain self confidence, concentration and focus, self-discipline, self-awareness and more. Each camp includes theme days, field trips and workshops in music, film, drama and dance. Because there is one staff member for every six students, the staff is able to focus closely on each camper. Teen can choose from day-camps and summer-night camps.
