How to Use Autotune in Pro Tools 8 LE

Pro Tools 8 LE is a music software application that allows users to record music on their computers. Pro Tools is the standard for music production on a professional level. The autotune function on the Pro Tools 8 LE software is used to tune out-of-tune singing. You don't have to be a professional music producer to get the autotune feature working on your Pro Tools program. You can do it with little hassle and just a couple clicks of your mouse.

Instructions

      Open the Pro Tools program by double clicking on the software icon. Click on the "File" menu at the top of the software. Click on the "New Session" icon from the menu.

      Click on the "Create Blank Session" from the next menu. Click the "OK" button to open the next window. Rename your file in the "Save As" window and then choose a destination from the menu. Click the "Save" button.

      Click on the "Track" menu and then click the 'New Track" icon from the menu. Click on the "Window" tab and then click the "Mix" tab. Click on the "Insert A-E" menu and then go to "Plug-In."

      Click on the "Pitchshift" option in the menu and then click on the "AutoTune" icon from the menu. Use the "Retune Speed" knob, the "Humanize" knob and the "Natural Vibrato" knob to manipulate the sound.

      Go to the right of the menu and click on the "Rate," "Onset Delay," "Variation" and the "Apptitude Amount" knobs to change the pitch of the voice.
