Visit the manufacturer website synchroarts.com and click on the "Downloads" link at the top of the page.
Click the "VST 3" link next to the "Windows" link. Mixcraft is only compatible with windows, so take care not to erroneously click the "Mac OS X Intel" link. It's essential that you select the "VST 3" version of VocALign. The "Project" version is only compatible with Pro Tools, a more sophisticated digital audio workstation than Mixcraft.
Enter your name and email address in the dialog box on the next page. The VST version of VocALign has a "Try Before You Buy" option. Click "Download," select "Desktop" as your save destination and then select "Save" when the download dialog box pops up. If you like the program, at a later date you can purchase an upgrade to the full version without downloading the program again.
Open Mixcraft. Double-click the desktop icon or click "Start," Programs" and select Mixcraft from there. It may take a few moments for the program to fully launch. Mixcraft will open the last used project automatically. At this stage it doesn't matter which project is open, as the subsequent amendments to the VST library are global, meaning they affect Mixcraft as a program rather than just the song you're working on.
Click "Effects" in the top left of the screen, then "Preferences." This opens your VST library.
Drag the downloaded VocALign folder from the desktop into the VST library. You now have VocALign as an effects option in Mixcraft.
