How to Use a Samson G-Track With SoundBooth

Samson introduced its G-Track microphone in 2007. It is was one of the first USB condensor microphones released in the consumer market. The USB system and built-in audio interface allow you to directly connect the microphone into an open USB port on your computer. The Samson works with almost any digital audio recording program, including Adobe SoundBooth. You can begin recording with the G-Track in SoundBooth by making it the default recording device on the computer and adjusting a few settings within the program.

Instructions

Insert the USB cable into the bottom of the Samson G-Track. Insert the other end of the cable into an open USB port on your computer. Make sure both ends of the cable sit securely in their jacks. A loose connection can lead to static or pops in a recording.
