Click on the "Traktor" tab located on the top left corner of the screen and select "Preferences." Click on the "Output Routing" tab found on the top of the preferences window.
Click on the "Internal Mixing Mode" button. Click on the "Preferences" button and select "Mix Recorder."
Click on the drop arrow next to the "Source" field and select "Internal" from the drop menu.
Write a prefix next to the "Save As" field to easily sort recording, for example, use a simple prefix such as "live_May29."
Set the recording size by selecting a file size from the drop menu next to the "Split" field; if you're planning on burning your files on to a CD use a compatible size that will fit the CD, for example, 650 megabytes.
Click "OK" to close the preferences window. Click on the cassette shaped icon found on the top right corner of the Traktor window in the "Global" section to open the Audio Recorder.
Drag and drop a track into a "Deck" found in the center of the Traktor window. Add up to four tracks. Press play on the track you would like to record and adjust the recording level by turning the "Gain" knob found on the Audio Recorder tool.
Press the "Record" button to start recording and press it again to stop recording.

Click on the drop arrow next to "Mode" and select "External Mixing." Click on the "Input Routing" tab found on the top of the preferences window and click on the "Mix Recorder" button.
Click the drop arrow next to "Source" and select "Extern" from the drop menu. Click on the drop arrow next to "External Input" and choose the relevant channel to the external device from which you're recording.
Write a prefix next to the "Save As" field to easily sort recording, for example, use a simple prefix such as "live_May29."
Set the recording size by selecting a file size from the drop menu next to the "Split" field; if you're planning on burning your files on to a CD use a compatible size that will fit the CD, for example, 650 megabytes.
Click "OK" to close the preferences window. Click on the cassette shaped icon found on the top right corner of the Traktor window in the "Global" section to open the Audio Recorder.
Click the "Record" button on the Audio Recorder tool and begin playing your track from the external device to record. Click the "Record" button a second time to stop recording.
