Lawrence Academy offers a one-week digital music day camp for children entering grades five through ten. Campers use computer technology to create rhythms, riffs, lyrics and videos. Video creations are showcased online. The program provides campers with outdoor recreation time and access to the campus swimming pool.

The New England Conservatory's School of Continuing Education offers a variety of summer courses, including intensive institute programs, private lessons, classes and ensembles. Many programs can be taken for undergraduate, graduate or continuing education credits. Students must have a high school diploma or equivalent to enroll, with the exception of certain programs such as the Festival Youth Orchestra (ages 13 to 18). Most courses take place in June or July.

BIMA's music program offers instruction in both instrumental and choral music. Students explore a variety of genres, including jazz, pop, rock, classical and world music. The program emphasizes theory and musicianship with both individual and ensemble classes. Music students at BIMA are part of a larger community that emphasizes creative arts and Jewish culture. BIMA is a four-week residential program for students entering grades 10 through 12.

Powers Music School offers two summer programs. One is Pow-Wow, an introductory day camp for children ages 5 through 12. The other is Music on the Hill, a month-long day camp emphasizing chamber music for children ages 9 through 14. Pow-Wow offers four two week-long sessions. Both camps provide campers with additional recreational activities and performance opportunities.
