How to Connect Two Boss Loops

Loop Stations are ideal tools for practicing and songwriting that allow solo performers to create the illusion of playing with a whole band. Skilled guitarists can artfully manipulate loops to create a variety of interesting effects. Setting up two loop stations increases the variety of sounds and effects that you can achieve through looping. The two loop stations can be played simultaneously, allowing you to play multiple guitar parts and harmonies in a live performance. Boss is the leading manufacturer of guitar looping effects. It offers three versions of its Loop Station, the RC-2, the RC-20XL and the RC-50. The first RC series stores up to 11 tracks and the RC-50 stores 99 tracks.

Instructions

Place the two Boss Loop Stations side by side on the floor.

Connect the two Boss Loop Stations with a short instrument cable. Plug one end of the cable into the input jack on the first Loop Station. Plug the opposite end of the cable into the output jack on the second Loop Station.

    • 3

Attach an AC power adapter. Boss Loop Stations have two power options. One option is to use a 9 volt battery. The second option is to attach an AC adapter to the Loop Station and then connect it to a power source. The second option is the better choice. Weak batteries interfere with the quality of the Loop Station. Plug the AC adapter into the Loop Station.
