How to Delete Loops in a Boss Loop Station

The Boss Loop Station is an electronic device used for both recording music and for creating unique live performances. When playing live, it can be used to record a riff or rhythm and play it on loop, allowing you to play over that loop or even continue adding layers of music to create the illusion of a one-person symphony. If you need to delete a loop, you must first determine whether you want to delete the loop stored in temporary memory or one stored in the internal memory.

Instructions

  1. Deleting a Loop From Temporary Memory

    • 1

Make sure that the power is on. Look at the lights on the right side of the phrase selection knob at the top center of the unit; if the One Shot Phrase light is off, there is no loop in the temporary memory.

    • 2

Press and hold the right pedal for two full seconds.

    • 3

Watch to make sure the One Shot Phrase light turns off. When the light goes off, the temporary memory has been deleted.

    Deleting a Saved Loop

    • 4

Turn the phrase selection knob, located in the top center of the unit, to the loop you wish to delete. There are 11 phrases to choose from.

    • 5

Simultaneously press the "Write" (delete) and "Exit" (shift) buttons. Both of these are located directly beneath the phrase selection knob. If you hit them simultaneously, the lights on both buttons will blink.

    • 6

Press the "Write" (delete) button once to delete the loop. If you change your mind, press the "Exit" (shift) button to exit delete mode.
