How to Design Your Own Cover for a CD Jacket

If you have lost a CD cover or you have burned your own CD and want to design a cover for it, you can use a website that will allow you to create a custom jacket. This way, you can use your own digital photos or artwork to make a unique CD jacket. It will only take you a few minutes to create and once designed you can print it out on paper or card stock.

      Choose a picture that you want to use for your CD jacket. You can use an image that is saved on your computer, or you can search for photos on the Internet.

      Choose an online CD cover creating site. A few that you can consider include BigHugeLabs, ReadWriteThink and EcoverGo. EcoverGo charges $9.95 per month as of 2011, while the others are free.

      Upload the image that you wish to use to the website that you have chosen to work with. For BigHugeLabs, do this by clicking on "Choose File."

      Choose whether you wish to have the photo in the center, left or right by clicking on the appropriate box. Type in the title and any text that you want to appear on the CD cover and click "Create."

      Print out the image using your printer.
