How to Design Your Own Laptop Cover

Laptop users, spend the vast majority of their time looking at the computer screen and not the reverse side. When you use your laptop around other people, everyone else can only see the back of your screen. Laptop makers usually concern themselves with the function of the computer for the user and not what it might look like to others. Covering the top panel of your laptop with a personalized design is a great way to express yourself to others while you spend time using your portable computer.

  1. Making it fit

      Create an image that you would like to put on your laptop. This could be a colorful pattern, logos of favorite bands, or any other visual material you wish to be shown to others who might be looking at your computer. Choose something personal so that your computer tells others something about you.

      Print the image. Measure your laptop to make sure it will be big enough to cover your laptop.

      Place the printed design on top of your laptop and use scissors to trim it so that it aligns flush with the edges of the computer.

      Carefully glue the printout to the surface of your computer so that it lays flat without bubbles or tearing.
