Every April, thousands of music fans flock to the desert in Indio, California, to attend the annual Coachella Music Festival. Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival began in 2002 on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee, and quickly became one of the most famous music festivals in the United States. More than 100,000 people gather to witness four days of multiple-stage live music featuring rock 'n' roll, jazz, hip hop, bluegrass and country. Past artists included Jay-Z, Dave Matthews Band and Kings of Leon. In addition to the astounding music, the venue includes an entertainment village with theater performers, a comedy club, a classic arcade, and a beer festival. Along with the unlimited entertainment options, attendees are encouraged to camp as the ticket prices include campground passes. Upon arrival, vehicles are directed to a campsite to set up. Campgrounds have showers, bathrooms, food vendors and general stores, making it a convenient and comfortable experience for all.

Held in downtown Chicago's Grant Park, Lollapalooza is a three-day music festival, which began its August tradition in 2007. The festival features several music genres including punk rock, heavy metal, hip hop and alternative rock. Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Alice in Chains and Green Day are famous bands that have taken the stage. Food-and-beverage and art-and-craft vendors are accessible to all attendees. Lollapalooza does not offer camping on-site; all patrons must leave the premise each night and re-enter the following day. Consider using public transportation to get to and from the festival. Daily parking is available underneath Grant Park but is not included in the ticket price.
