Festivals in St. Clair, Michigan

Historic St. Clair, Michigan is located on the St. Clair River. It is 40 miles north of Detroit and a few miles from Port Huron. Its downtown offers numerous gift shops, pubs, cafes and specialty restaurants. Because of its location, the town holds a number of festivals, concerts and water-related sports like powerboat racing. Visitors also have the option to go golfing, fishing, stroll the boardwalk of their Blue Water Area or relax and enjoy the beauty in Palmer Park.
  1. St. Clair Riverfest

    • The Meiher St. Clair Riverfest is a three-day festival that runs during the summer season. It takes place on a weekend in July and is located in the downtown area of St. Clair along the St. Clair River. It features live bands and different attractions each year. For the festivals 16th year, they had Candlebox and Great White play live and held the Welde's Bears Show. Funfest Products Inc. runs the festival, which also has Blue Water offshore racing and other special events. There are no pets, outside food or drinks or bikes or skateboards allowed on the grounds. The camera policy also states that no cameras are allowed in the music performance areas, though everywhere else is fine.

    Winter White Out

    • Winter White Out is a three-day festival that celebrates winter. It is held during January in the downtown area with an opening ceremony in Rotary Park. There is ice skating at the Riverview Plaza, snowman contests, live entertainment and food from participating restaurants. Music contests for best song are also held and people can compete for the winning title in the St. Clair Poet Laureate competition.

    Vintage Weekend

    • This two-day event combines the St. Clair Antique and Classic Boat Show and the St. Clair Antique Show. It is held in July and is filled with fun outdoor activities. There are about 100 boats that show as well as juried contests for 16 different classes. Having the community join in activities and go antiquing together is a big part of the event as well.

    Events

    • The St. Clair Chamber of Commerce holds special events to give residents and tourists more reasons to appreciate the area. The Galloping Gourmet, held in December, is an evening that includes a horse and carriage ride and dinner at one of the town's finest restaurants. The town also has an annual Marbleye Classic Tournament on the St. Clair River. It is held during May and features a kid's tournament as well. The winner receives a grand prize for having the heaviest walleye. During the summer season you can check out the Classic Offshore Powerboat Race as boats of all different classes race for the winning title. This race is part of the Great Lakes Silver Cup Series and the Offshore Super Series. It includes activities for the family, live music and entertainment and games.
