Turn your microphone, Samson receiver and mixer off by pressing their respective Ppower buttons or sliding their power switches to the "Off" positions.
Plug your Samson microphone's power supply into a wall outlet, and then plug its small barrel plug into the back panel of the receiver unit.
Plug one end of the included one-quarter inch to one-quarter inch male-to-male cable into the output on the receiver.
Plug the other end of the cable into a line-level input on your mixing panel or other amplification or mixing device.
Hold the upper section of the microphone with one hand and twist the bottom section clockwise with your other hand to open the battery compartment.
Slide in a 9-volt battery, matching its + and - terminals with the polarity markings inside the microphone. Once the battery is connected, slide the microphone's power switch to the right to turn it on and twist its compartment cover back on.
Put your receiver in a place where it will have a direct line of sight to the microphone and extend its antenna.
Turn your amplifier or mixer on, but keep its volume control set all the way down.
Press the Power button on your Samson receiver to turn it on, and then turn its volume control all the way to the right.
Start speaking or singing into the microphone at a normal volume. Continue speaking or singing as you gradually turn up your mixer or amplifier until you reach an appropriate volume.
