Open Windows Media Player and click the “Burn” tab.
Import the WAV file that you would like to change to MP3 into Windows Media Player. Do this by clicking “File” and selecting “Add to Library.” Then check-mark the folder on your computer that contains the WAV file you would like to change to MP3. Click “OK,” and all the music files within that folder will be imported to Windows Media Player.
Select the WAV file that you imported and drag it into the “Burn List” located in the column on the right side of Windows Media Player.
Insert a blank CD-R into your computer and select “Start Burn.”
Click the “Rip” tab once Windows Media Player has finished burning the WAV file to disc.
Hover your mouse over “Rip” and click the arrow below the button.
Select “Format” and choose “MP3” to confirm that Windows Media Player will change the WAV file to an MP3 while ripping it from the CD-R.
Click “Start Rip,” and Windows Media Player will rip the WAV file from the CD and change it to an MP3.
