How to Copy an Audio CD to a CD-R

An audio CD can be quickly and easily copied to a CD-R using Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player is an audio software that allows you to rip, burn and organize your digital music. Simply rip the Audio CD to your computer and then use the "Burn" feature to copy it to a CD-R. For Windows users, Windows Media Player comes pre-installed on your computer from the factory.

Instructions

      Insert an audio CD into your computer.

      Open Windows Media Player.

      Click "Rip."

      Click "Start Rip." After doing so, Windows Media Player will rip the music files from the audio CD and save them in its music library.

      Eject the audio CD from your computer.

      Insert a blank CD-R into your computer

      Click "Burn."

      Drag all of the music files that were ripped from the audio CD and drop them into the "Burn List" that appears on the right-hand side of Windows Media Player.

      Click "Start Burn." After doing so, Windows Media Player will burn the music files from the audio CD onto the CD-R.
